VCI is recognized as having an important presence in northern Kenya
and Somalia with intimate knowledge of culture and dynamics of communities living in our program
areas. VCI has built credibility and trust among both communities, governments, donors and fellow
partners through the years. VCI is particularly recognized for pastoral community services which include
livelihood, youth development and leadership programs with a focus on gender integration. It is also
recognized as effective advocate for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), women, minorities and youth
and is known for flexibility and adaptability in adopting new program modalities.
